With some 250 judokas from 49 countries participating, the Montréal Judo Grand Prix was a first in Canada and a tremendous win for everyone involved. International in scope and broadcast in over 50 countries, this event is the result of a solid partnership developed over the years between TKNL and its main organizer, Judo Canada, a partnership rooted in the passion our producer Marc Poirier and his family have long had for this sport.
After landing the event in the Montréal, Judo Canada quickly turned to TKNL to take on its technical and logistical aspects. A massive challenge in terms of coordination, this event had us fully align with the standards and technical requirements of the International Judo Federation, TVGO, and a vast number of actors on the ground. Each take was perfectly staged as we looked for the perfect shot and optimal lighting. According to representatives from the Federation themselves, who got to see our team in action firsthand, TKNL truly rose to the occasion!
But more than the technical aspects, it was the fully integrated, seamless teamwork that made this event such a success. For TKNL as well as Judo Canada, each team member went above and beyond their own tasks to create a workflow that surpassed mere execution.
