A prestigious annual event, the HMI Gala brings together representatives from all sectors of the hospitality and event industries to create lasting bonds. Prizes for excellence are awarded to highlight the hard work of people who make hospitality a way of life. Hoping to take the event to the next level and to make it a can’t-miss experience that would leave its mark on the industry, HMI called upon TKNL to produce the 2018 edition.
Our contribution helped reshape the event from top to bottom, putting forward a new branding that allows this event to stand out. Our first recommendation was to give the gala a name and a signature of its own. This seminal move allowed us to build up brand recognition ahead of the event, improving visibility among partners and clients. With that, the UNLOCK THE WORLD GALA was born, symbolizing the connection between HMI and its audience.
The second edition revolved around the theme PASSION IN MOTION, bringing the essence of HMI to light: gathering people from all four corners of a world in perpetual movement. To let the audience fully experience this theme, we created three circular stages, which we installed in two corners of the venue and in its center. This configuration allowed us to offer each participant a unique experience while energizing the process of award presentation.
The proposal we developed for this gala falls within a wider concept evolving over three years, which will culminate in 2020, as HMI will be celebrating its 15th anniversary.
